Bi-Courtnery boss Wale Babalakin arrested for laundering N2billion

The Chief Executive Officer of Bi-Courtney Ltd, Wale Babalakin, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He was alleged to have helped in facilitating the siphoning about N2 billion belonging to Delta State on behalf of former Governor James Ibori.
This is coming a few days after a concessionary agreement between Bi- Courtney and federal government on the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway was terminated by government. EFCC sources in Abuja confirmed that the charges were filed against Babalakin yesterday at a Lagos High Court in Ikeja

Gunmen attack Sars HQ less than 24 hrs after attacking military base

Wait a minute, so a military base and police headquarters were both successfully attacked in less than 24 hours? For real? Bomb attack at the Jaji Military base yesterday morning killed at least 11 people, then this morning unknown gunmen attacked the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police headquarters in Abuja.

The details of the attack are still sketchy but there are are unconfirmed reports that detainees, including members of Boko Haram, were freed during the shoot out.

Sars headquarters is near several government buildings and security is supposed to be extremely tight in the area. What does this say about the security in Nigeria?

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack but we all can guess those behind. Scary!

Quite a while since we last saw this ace actor on our home screen. Has Zack Orji left acting and the movie industry? What has he been up to?
Though you have not seen recent movies featuring the actor, he is into the practical  aspect of movie production-. His words; “I am not retiring from acting. It is true that I have not been active on screen because I have been involved in a project which involves teaching people different aspects of acting; costuming, lightning designing, cinematography and so on.’’
He identified the problems facing Nigerian movie industry- "Good scripts are lacking. What is responsible for this is the influx of the mediocre screenwriters into the industry.  If I have to participate in any movie, the script must be deep. I have had to reject some roles because I did not like the scripts."
Currently, he undertakes various projects in the Niger-Delta.

THE EXPERIENCE 2012

Convened andhosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin, The Experience is an Interdenominational Gospel concert that features some of the best-known musical talents of our time. The Event, which debuted in December 2006 with over 70,000 persons in attendance rapidly gained momentum at its second outing with a quantum leap in attendance of well over 250,000 people. The Experience has now become known as the largest musical concert in Africa.

In previous editions the Experience has run through the night starting at 7.00pm and running till 6am the following morning; a colossal 11hrs of uninterrupted prayer and live music!

This years concert is scheduled to hold at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan from Friday, the 7^th of December 2012 through to Saturday 8^th of December starting from 6pm.

The lined up artists are Soweto Spiritual Singers, Deitrick Haddon, Fred Hammond amongst other.
