THE BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY
The Ipad owned by Apple computers came out first into the existence, running apples operating system, iOS. Shortly after, Samsung launched its own version of the tablet and called it Galaxy, housing the android operating system, courtesy google.
Since the inception of Galaxy, law suits have flown in all direction, principally by Apple accusing Samsung of patent infringement. It accused Samsung of copying its product. Not until recently a UK Judge passed a judgement in favour of Samsung, asking Apple to state openly that Samsung did not copy its product.

All these while Apple had sought to prevent the sale of Glaxy in the UK.
Both have their pros and cons, but I thinks the final consumers have the choice of deciding which to go after.
