'IRON MAN 3' OPENS IN THE US ON FRIDAY

Iron Man 3 will hit US Box office on Friday. Over last weekend, it opened in lots of places throughout the world(so far it has made 79% of international market). Iron man 3 has so far raked $195.3 million, beating Avengers ($185.1 million when it opened). It made the biggest opening in for Marvel movie in Australia, Netherlands, Finland, Hungary, Sweden to mension few. aiat equally made its mark in Hong kong, Indonesia, Argentina, Vietnam, Taiwan, with the highest grossing weekend ever known, surpassing last years' that made $1.5million. It is by far the largest opening of any film in 2013 we have seen.
Come friday, the $200m Marvel Studios film would open in the US.

Amongst the most popular domain names are .com, .net, .org. Does Nigeria have its own domain name? The answer is yes, and this is .ng .But why do Nigerian s prefer patronising foreighn domain to our indeginouse own? I think a number of factors are responsible for this as seen:

• Before .ng came up lots of peoples had already keyed into foreign domain names which has become their identity or niche name which is already widely known by clients/customers. As such it would be difficult adapting a new name.
• Foreign domains are far more popular, hence the patronage. I would naturally prefer what is popular to that is not known.
• The lack of trust and pride in our local content also puts people at bay from anything having to do with Nigeria as opposed to its foreign counterpart.

Nigerians spend over N752.66m yearly servicing over 600,000 registered foreign domain names. The country has lost N3.76bn in the past five years to outside patronage. 
At the close of 2012, only 26,000 domain names are registered in .ng. Lets together cherish what we have and make the most of it. Nigeria is our identity and its our responsibility to cherish and promote this.

Britain's greatest post-war Prime Minister, Baroness Thatcher has died this morning. This happened as a result of stroke.
Her death was confirmed by her children, Sir Mark and Carol.
Famously known as The Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher governed Britain from 1979 to 1990.
She was Britain's first female Prime Minister and played a major role in transforming Britain's economy.She would also be remembered for the  retaking of the Falks Islands, The British South Atlantic territory invaded by Argentina in 1982, after which she declared "we have ceased to be a nation in retreat."
Her spokesman, Lord Bell had this to say "It is with great sadness that Marl and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning. A further statement will be made later."
Originally a research chemist before becoming a barrister, Thatcher was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Finchley in 1959. Edward Heath appointed her Secretary of State for Education and Science in his 1970 government. In 1975 Thatcher defeated Heath in the Conservative Party leadership election and became Leader of the Opposition, as well as the first woman to lead a major political party in the United Kingdom. She became Prime Minister after winning the 1979 general election.
She died at age 87.
