This is his appreciatory speech given at a press conference:
"Appreciate all those who stood by me one way or the other. I'm sincerely grateful and feel blessed that people could go miles just to make me well again. Now that I have gotten all the money needed for my medical bill, I want to officially put a stop to all forms of appeal or request in bid to save OJB. I want Nigerians to know that I have gotten the N16million needed for my treatment. Therefore, no donation should again be made to any source in respect of the said case. I will be going for my operation by mid August"
We just have to pray for a safe treatment when he travels.
SHOCKING!!! TWO NIGERIAN FOOTBALL TEAMS WON MATCHES 79-0 AND 67-0 YESTERDAY
PLATEAU United Feeders and Police
Machine figured they needed a big win in the final round at an amateur
tournament to outdo the other and earn promotion to Nigeria's
professional football leagues.
Their wins were definitely big: 79-0 and 67-0.
The results have sparked outrage, an indefinite suspension of the four clubs involved in the games, and an investigation into match-fixing by the Nigeria Football Federation.
The NFF overnight called the results from the tournament on Monday in the northeastern city of Bauchi "a mind-boggling show of shame". The scorelines were "scandalous", the NFF added.
"The teams involved, their players and officials, match officials, (tournament) coordinator and anyone found to have played some role in this despicable matter would (will) be severely dealt with," NFF director of competitions Mohammed Sanusi said.

TOPE ALABI ALLEGED SEX SCANDAL
Tope Alabi
Releases Statement On Her Alleged Sex Scandal
Following the claim by a Lagos clergy, Prophet Ajanaku, that Yoruba gospel artiste Tope Alabi asked him to have sex with her; Tope Alabi had initially debunked the story, her husband, Soji Alabi, however has this to say
“This trouble started when we stopped attending Prophet Ajanaku’s church because he was beginning to see himself as a god in our lives. All he has said to the media are bunch of lies, just to look for a way to bring us down. I know there is a God in heaven who will judge everything we do on earth and reward all of us accordingly.
I intentionally told my wife not to say anything and leave God to judge everything but I am using this medium to tell everyone out there that Tope Alabi never asked Prophet Ajanaku to sleep with her.”
For now the couple has embarked on a church to church ministration while waiting to choose the next church they will be attending.
Meanwhile, Tope Alabi went on her facebook this morning to debunk the rumor and reassured her dedicated fans of her true faith.
Here is her status update:
“My Friends, No matter the negative rumor you hear or read,I want you to know it’s never true and not inspired by the living Jesus Christ…and I will never compromise my faith in God by the grace of God."

JULIUS AGWU SPEAKS- New entrants into stand-up comedy are lazy
Julius Agwu is one of the best in terms of stand-up comedy in Nigeria and he has contributed to the growth of the industry in many ways. He speaks with ADUNOLA OLADAPO on many issues. Excerpts:
(Source- Tribune)
You started out as an actor, which role will you say gave you the break?
It was “Rattle Snake.” But my major break was my first album because even after “Rattle Snake”, I was still shuttling between school and audition but my first album, “Okombo” became a household name and that was the major break. Also, the NTA sit-com, “Paradise Park” where I played the role of motor park tout alongside some other colleagues, also gave me an edge.

What were some of the challenges you faced as an actor?
You see, we started entertainment in a period when people saw entertainers as never-do-good, dregs of the society, unserious people, dropouts and my parents never liked the idea, so I had to do something drastic to convince them. Also, you can finish playing a role and get stipends, therefore, I had to look for other way.
Yes, those were the challenges, I manage to convince them to let me do what gives me joy, now the question is, how do you put food on the table with that?
NELSON MANDELA, THE GLOBAL CITIZEN
Since the winter of 2011 when he was hospitalized for respiratory infection, South African legend Nelson Mandela has been in and out of the hospital a couple of times. Sadly, his health took a turn for the worse during the first week of June 2013 – prompting the global community to collectively pray for his good health and speedy recovery. For millions of people around the world, Mandela is truly a global citizen. He is loved, idolized and respected by many. From China to Russia, and from Mozambique to Portugal and Chad, he has a better name recognition than anyone I can think of.
The international community has known some pretty remarkable statesmen. And along the way, we have come to know some truly great men. But rarely do we see and or get to know men who are an embodiment of greatness and all that is noble about humanity. It is rare, very rare. Without resorting to hyperbolism, one could say – and one would be correct to say that Nelson Mandela is one such man. Whether you are standing before him or sitting by his side – or watching from afar — you know you are in the company of a rarity. Adding to the sensory and mental satisfaction is the fact that he is an African.Read on after the cut
